Subsidiary in Romania

A subsidiary is a separate Romanian company, with its own legal personality, controlled by the parent.

A subsidiary (filială) is a company with its own legal personality. Registering a subsidiary means a parent company that holds the majority of its capital sets up a separate company.

A subsidiary set up in Romania takes part in legal relations in its own name, through the acts of its representatives, acquires rights and assumes obligations, and bears its own liability.

Because it is a company with legal personality, it is set up under the conditions the law lays down for forming companies.
