Legal consultation by phone

A legal consultation by phone is a scheduled call with the lawyer. It suits a precise question, an approaching deadline, or a situation where you have no time for a video or office meeting. By the end of the call you will know your legal position and what you can do next.

How we arrange the call

1. Write to us through the contact form or call us, saying briefly what the problem is and that you prefer a phone call.
2. We agree the day and time together, depending on the lawyer’s availability, and tell you the consultation fee and how to pay.
3. At the agreed time, the lawyer calls you on the number you gave.

Before the call, write down a timeline of the facts and your questions. If you have relevant documents, e-mail them in advance so the discussion starts from the papers rather than from assumptions. Please do not send documents or sensitive data through the contact form.

What it is good for

• a first opinion on a legal problem;
• clarifying deadlines, for example the time limit to challenge a fine or to appeal a judgment;
• questions about the documents and steps of a procedure: divorce, forming a company, inheritance, recovering a debt;
• clients who live in another city or abroad and prefer a simple call without any app.

Good to know

• The call is a proper legal consultation, at the fee quoted before the consultation (see Fees), and is covered by the lawyer’s professional secrecy.
• For answers that depend on reviewing bulky documents, a complex contract or a case already in court, we recommend an online consultation by video call or a meeting at the office.
• A consultation is not representation. Acting in court or before authorities requires a legal services contract.
• Legal deadlines run regardless of when you consult us. If yours is short, tell us when you write.
