Head of the office: Alina Szilaghi

I was admitted as a lawyer in 2004, as a member of the Cluj Bar Association, and in 2005–2006 I completed the initial professional training programme of the National Institute for the Training and Professional Development of Lawyers (INPPA) — the body of the National Union of Romanian Bars that trains junior lawyers.

Since then my practice has covered advisory work and litigation, with a focus on civil law (ownership, recovery of property and other real rights, contracts, family matters — divorce, division of property, inheritance — and enforcement) and business law (contracts between professionals, companies, administrative litigation and dealings with public authorities), including insolvency proceedings.

I advise Romanian and foreign clients, individuals and companies, in Romanian and English. A significant part of the work concerns regulated sectors — gambling, business permits and licences, and data protection.

Our team and partners

Our team and partner network include collaborating lawyers, tax advisers, auditors and court enforcement officers (bailiffs). We work closely with our external specialists to provide 360° solutions.

  • Collaborating lawyers — take part in advice, drafting and representation, under the coordination of the head of the office.
  • Tax advisers and auditors — for the tax, accounting and audit aspects of transactions, regulated-sector projects and disputes.
  • Court enforcement officers (bailiffs) — for enforcing judgments and recovering debts, within their statutory powers.

External specialists work independently, under the rules of their own professions. We involve them only with your agreement, and their services are contracted and paid separately from the lawyer’s fees.

How we work

  • Amicable solutions first. Where possible we negotiate or mediate — it is faster, cheaper and less stressful.
  • Fees agreed in writing. Fees and tasks are set in the legal services contract before work starts (see Fees).
  • Regular updates. Clients are kept informed at every stage of the matter.
  • Professional secrecy. Everything you tell us is protected by the lawyer’s duty of professional secrecy under Romanian Law no. 51/1995.
